DOI: May 6th, 2020

PATHOLOGY: C4 Spinal Cord Injury

Alex Duff

Alex grew up in Auburn, California skiing and playing tennis his entire childhood. In high school he transitioned to football which instilled in him a great competitive fire and love for team camaraderie. An avid biker, Alex was riding at the opening of his local bike park in May of 2020 where he suffered an accident that left his C4 vertebrae damaged, resulting in tetraplegia.

Alex worked tirelessly at his recovery for six months, regaining most of his muscle function and weight training. He has regained his passion for sports in addition to his love of being a father. He hopes to utilize his time at ATF to learn new ways to push his body and mind post injury.
