# Meet Adaptive Athlete: Ashtyn Kelley

**PATHOLOGY:** Spinal Cord Injury & Traumatic Brain Injury

Ashtyn grew up in Portland, Oregon, where he enjoyed playing sports and traveling. He has earned a Master’s degree in Global and Community Engagement. After graduating high school, Ashtyn joined the Navy as a tactical air traffic controller. During his time in service, Ashtyn experienced a spinal cord injury and TBI. 

 

Over the last four years of rehabilitation, he has worked on improving his outlook on the world. Ashtyn wants to use his Hyper experience to continue to improve himself and exceed limitations. He wants to improve his overall health, strength, and endurance as well as pursue a holistic approach to mental health.
