DOB: 1978

PATHOLOGY: Traumatic Brain Injury

Brian LaFumee

Bryan grew up in Tampa, Florida where he developed a passion for fishing with his grandfather, which he still does today to remember him by. Additionally, he played football and baseball where he developed his love for a team environment and accountability higher than self.

He graduated from high school in 1996 and immediately enlisted in the United States Navy, serving for 21 years and retired at the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. Bryan served with Naval Special Warfare the entirety of his career, deploying twelve times to various combat zones across the world. During these deployments, Bryan received multiple TBIs from blast exposure, maritime operations, as well as a parachute accident during free fall training.

When Bryan left the unit and retired from the Navy, his drive for fitness weakened as years of combat injuries caught up with him. He has received treatment the last few years to deal with pain and work around his injuries but he wants to double down and really improve his routine and movement in order to lose weight and reclaim his physical and mental health.
