PATHOLOGY: Traumatic Brain Injury
Garrett grew up in Spring Hill, Florida where he enjoyed running and fishing in his personal time. He answered his nation's call and enlisted in the United States Army in 2008 where he served dutifully for four years as an 11B infantryman. His unit sustained heavy combat during his deployments and he was involved in a number of vehicular accidents during his service, sustaining a number of back and neck injuries.
Garrett separated from the Army in 2013 and had a tough transition out, noting that he has a difficult time feeling comfortable in his own skin and being around other people. He struggles to feel a sense of accomplishment after the immense sense of achievement from his service in the military. He wants to use his time at ATF to find a new sense of purpose and motivation in order to create a healthier routine in his daily life.
