PATHOLOGY: Bilateral Limb Salvage
Jesse was born and raised in Manteca, California. He enlisted in the United States Army in 2001 where he faithfully served for 14 years and deployed multiple times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Jesse sustained a multitude of injuries during his service including being blown up after stepping on an IED in Afghanistan. He was evacuated and flown out of the country, requiring multiple limb salvage surgeries.
Upon recovering from his injuries, he was on his motorcycle and was involved in an accident that broke nearly every bone in his body. Along with the broken bones, Jesse sustained a torn ACL, meniscus, lacerated spleen and liver, collapsed lung, and a coma inducing brain bleed.
Jesse wants to challenge his body both physically and mentally in order to be an example to his children and instill in them the confidence that no matter what happens you can always be better and only you stop yourself.
