Injury: Brain Stem Stroke
Lisa grew up in Garland, but now lives in Sachse with her husband and five kids. She worked as a Vice President of a large management company before her accident.
On May 18, 2018 she popped her neck and suffered from a dissection of her vertebral artery causing a bilateral brain stem stroke. The stroke affected both sides, breathing, swallowing, balance and eyesight. She has been working every day since learning it all again.
Since her accident she has been forced to see the beauty of listening more than she did before when she would talk nonstop. Lisa wants to get stronger, more confident, become self-reliant and be able to show her kids that no matter your circumstances, you can get back up and that attitude makes all the difference. In her free time she enjoys time with her kids, repurposing furniture, decorating and redecorating her house along with gardening.
