Meet Adaptive Athlete:  Mike Rios

On May 8th, 2010, while on deployment in Afghanistan, Mike was hit with a rocket-propelled grenade which resulted in his traumatic brain injury, limitations with his left leg and ultimately PTSD. Mike retired after an 18 year career in the Marine Corps.

 

Now as part of the Hyper program, Mike is excited to gain knowledge on how to work with his current injuries, share in the camaraderie with his fellow athletes, and improve his overall lifestyle.
