Shaun enlisted in the Army after high school, serving for 15 years as an infantryman and deploying to Afghanistan. While serving in the Army, Shaun participated in pistol marksmanship competitions in addition to his duties as a soldier. In April of 2011 he stepped on an IED while on patrol, and as result Shaun’s right leg was amputated below the knee. He remained in the Army after his injury and went on to compete in the 2016 Paralympics in two pistol shooting events.

After his time in the military, Shaun has developed a passion for bowhunting. He wants to get in the best shape possible in order to be able to participate in hunting through tough terrain. Shaun also wants to develop a consistent mindset practice in order to b e at peace more throughout his daily life.
