PATHOLOGY: Spinal Cord Injury & Traumatic Brain Injury
Jay is originally from Largo, Florida, where he played baseball growing up. He served in the Army as an Infantryman and Chaplain Assistant for 19 years, including combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. In April of 2020, Jay was in a motorcycle accident that left him with a cervical spinal cord injury and TBI.
The immediate aftermath of his injury was difficult, but Jay has a good support system of friends and family that have helped him through the tough times. He wants to use his Hyper experience to continue improving his fitness and build relationships with others with similar goals. He plans to open his own adaptive fitness facility in his community.
