Jocelyn Judd

On April 19th, 2014, Jocelyn was injured in a skiing accident. She went for a backflip off a jump, but over-rotated, coming down on her neck and fracturing C4/5/6. Initially diagnosed with a complete spinal cord injury, Jocelyn worked hard to regain function and is now fortunate to be a walking quadraplegic.

As someone who had always been physically active, Jocelyn was determined to return to that lifestyle post injury. Today, she is not only walking, she is mountain biking, surfing, skiing, rafting, and in the gym lifting weights. One of her goals is to ski summit Mt. Rainier in her backyard of Washington. Jocelyn is also working full-time as an ER nurse.

As an athlete, Jocelyn believes in being positive, but also has a healthy level of not being satisfied, fueling her to continually strive for her best. During her time at Hyper, Jocelyn is determined to push herself and maximize the opportunity to better herself as an athlete and overall as a person.
