Kijuan Amey

Kijuan is from Durham, North Carolina. He is a lifelong drummer from the age of seven and competed in football, bowling, and track and field growing up. After high school, Kijuan enlisted in the Air Force as an In-Flight Refueling Specialist and Boom Operator. His time in service included three deployments to Qatar and one to Curaçao. In May of 2017, Kijuan was in a motorcycle accident that caused a skull fracture and broke his back and both legs, which led to a TBI and blindness.

Kijuan wants to use his time at ATF to gauge where he is physically, learn new things, and continue to improve his fitness while learning to give himself grace about the things he cannot control. He competed in the DOD Warrior Games in 2022 and hopes to return.
