Lecia Baker

Lecia was born with Cerebral Palsy and was officially diagnosed at the age of 2. Her interests as a kid included writing poetry, doing puzzles, learning American Sign Language, as well as sports such as volleyball and baseball. As a kid, she kept up with her peers but as she grew older the effects of cerebral palsy began to increasingly hold her back.

Lecia got her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies and is currently pursuing her graduate degree in social work at the University of Texas Austin. Other than school, Lecia loves to participate in wheelchair sports and triathlons.

Her goals during his time at ATF include challenging herself to do things outside of her comfort zone such as jumping and agility drills. Lecia will also push to strengthen her legs and obtain greater endurance and stamina. She is excited to gain the camaraderie of the group and would love to compete in a Spartan race soon.
