# Meet Adaptive Athlete: Marie-Michelle Strah

Michelle grew up in Québec and Ohio. She served as a Health Services Administration Officer in the Army. Between 2005 and 2008, she experienced three moderate traumatic brain injuries while deployed. The TBIs caused neurological problems that impacted her gait, mobility, visual, auditory, speech, and motor systems.

 

Michelle has been active in adaptive sports since 2022 and has earned her yoga certification with an additional certification in yoga for individuals with brain injuries and neurological conditions. She participated in a Wounded Warrior Project CrossFit clinic earlier this year and hopes to use her Hyper experience to continue improving and increasing her physical fitness.
