We’re honored to welcome members of the Carrollton Police Department to Adaptive Training Foundation for a day built around community, service, movement, and recovery.

This is an opportunity to step away from the demands of the job and spend time in a low-pressure environment surrounded by people who understand the value of showing up for one another. Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to support an adaptive athlete, challenge yourself physically, connect with the ATF community, and take advantage of recovery modalities designed to help your body slow down, reset, and come out of a heightened state.

ADDRESS

Adaptive Training Foundation

4125 Old Denton Road

Carrollton, TX 75010

FRIDAY SCHEDULE

10:00 AM: Arrival & Community
Settle in, meet the ATF team and athletes, and spend some time meeting the ATF community.

10:30 AM-12:30 PM: Mentorship & Support Training
Support train an adaptive athlete during their training session. This is an opportunity to serve and encourage. It may include grabbing equipment to support the head trainer, assisting the athlete in a movement, counting repetitions, or providing an extra set of hands.

12:30–1:15 PM: Your Turn To Sweat
A group training session designed to challenge you physically, have some fun, and experience the ATF training environment firsthand. No specific fitness level is required, just come ready to participate.

1:15–3:00 PM: Community Meal & Recovery
We’ll share a meal together before transitioning into recovery modalities - red light therapy, cold water immersion, sound bed with vibrational resonance - all designed to help the body slow down and reset. Plan to be wrapped up and on your way by 3:00 PM at the latest.

WHAT TO BRING

Please wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes that you can move and train in. We also recommend bringing:

  • A change of clothes
  • Swimwear or athletic clothing for the cold tub
  • An open mind and willingness to participate

There’s no expectation to perform or have everything figured out. The goal is simply to show up, be around good people, move your body, serve someone else, and give yourself some space to breathe.

If you have any questions about the day, please reach out directly to Colin@teamatf.org.
