PATHOLOGY: Stroke
Aarron is from Meridian, Idaho. Growing up, he went camping, hunting, and fishing with his family frequently. In 2019, Aarron underwent surgery to have a benign tumor removed from his temporal and frontal lobe. During the procedure, an artery was clamped, causing a stroke. The injury affected his arm, leg, and eyesight. He has double vision and no peripheral vision in his left eye.
With physical and occupational therapy, Aarron was able to regain some functionality with his leg, although he was still unable to participate in many of the outdoor activities he loves. He has adapted to be able to fish again, and hopes his experience in Hyper helps him develop more self-confidence and become more active and mobile to be able to continue pursuing activities he enjoys.
