Antonio Valdivia

Growing up in Mexico City, Antonio was a huge sports enthusiast. He participated in tons of sports from Tae-Kwon-Do to skateboarding to swimming. After graduating high school in 1996, Antonio completed his undergraduate in Mexico and came to the states for his Masters degree in Architecture at Texas A&M.

Antonio has had a passion for cars and motorcycles his whole life. He rode motorcycles for 30 years up until his accident. On August 14th, 2020, Antonio was hit on his motorcycle by a distracted driver which resulted in the amputation of his left leg, body rash (3rd degree burns), and internal bleeding.

Two years following his injury, Antonio was bound to a bed and wheelchair. His motivation to get back on his feet came from his wife and young daughters. His goals center around being the best version for himself, his wife, his daughters, and those around him, whether that’s growing in confidence in himself again or regaining trust in his leg to begin doing things that he used to think were no longer possible.
