Antony Rice was born in Dayton, Ohio where he ran track and played baseball as a kid. He credits playing sports with developing his leadership skills and ability to work with a team. He graduated highschool and went on to complete two years of college before joining the military.
He began his military career at Wright Air Force base in Ohio where he spent a brief time before he was activated for Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He spent a large portion of his career at Kelly Air Force Base in Texas conducting recruiting operations.
One afternoon riding his motorcycle home, Antony was struck by a truck and thrown off his bike resulting in a fractured pelvis, fractured hip, dislocated wrist, and ruptured nerves in his L5. As a result of his accident, he has bilateral drop foot and neuropathy in both feet. After intense rehab, Antony had to learn how to walk again with braces on both legs.
While at ATF, Antony wants to build more stamina in his legs and be able to ride his bike with less hip pain. He wants to reduce his self doubt and use mindfulness to improve his mental well being.
