Meet Adaptive Athlete: Carrie Pressett

CPT Carrie Pressett, US Army, Ret.

DOB: August 3rd, 1976

DOI: March 2013

PATHOLOGY: Trauma

Hyper7Headshots100MB-5

Over the course of her 22 years in the Army, Carrie served in many ways, including active duty, reserve, national guard, and ROTC. She had many injuries from training and deployments, ranging from head trauma to a compressed and fractured spine. The wear and tear from her time in the military have caused her to have lasting daily pain.

As someone who likes to continually push herself, Carrie wants to improve being conscious about the different exercises she’s doing to strengthen her body, and not hurt herself more. She enjoys coaching adaptive athletes and hopes this propels her to dive deeper into that passion.
