Chad Ohmer

Chad Ohmer grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, with a love for action and competition. Today, he competes in wake surfing and skeleton, while hunting keeps him connected to the outdoors. He has found a new level of purpose through adaptive sports and opportunities he never imagined before his injury.

On May 26, 2012, while serving with the Marine Corps in Sangin, Afghanistan, Chad was injured in an IED explosion. He went on to serve multiple deployments, including as a rifleman and team leader in Marjah and Sangin. While the injury changed the direction of his life, Chad says it has also opened doors to experiences he may never have had otherwise.

Now, Chad is focused on finding out what he needs to perform at the highest level. His goal is simple: win Worlds. At Hyper, he wants to sharpen his physical performance, better understand his body and training needs, and continue pushing toward the top of his sport.
