USMC, RET.

DOB: December 23rd, 1981

DOI: October 29th, 2012

PATHOLOGY: Stroke

Chris Francis

Chris was born in Crowley, Louisiana, where he developed a passion for sports at an early age and succeeded in many of them. Once graduating, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served for ten years.

After retiring from the military, Chris suffered an ischemic stroke due to a blood clot in the brain which resulted in considerable neurological damage, leaving him wheelchair bound requiring close care. Despite his injury, Chris has participated in numerous adaptive veteran programs with the assistance of the Wounded Warrior Project.

Chris has shown a desire to gain more independence and strength post injury and wants to use his time at ATF to strengthen himself physically and also challenge himself mentally through our breath work and recharge program.
