Born in Nashville, TN raised in Tallahassee and Northern Alabama, CPT David Christopher served in the US Army for nearly 26 years. During his service he completed three tours in Korea including South Korea, Seoul, and Daegu. In 2013 while stationed in California, David was riding his motorcycle when the front end of his tire hit a pothole, causing his bike to fall over onto his left leg, leaving it fractured. David would then crash into the guardrail, and wake up hanging off of a cliff. Once hospitalized, David was informed that he had a T5 Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury.
Keeping active is important to David, he goes to the gym frequently, and participates in sports related activities. Twice a year he likes to go snow skiing. David’s goal throughout ATF’s 9 week program, is to work on core muscles and balancing his body. He also wants to learn to use his legs, to gain activation in them.
As a spiritual guy, David has taken interest in crystals, meditation, and having a deeper understanding of energy healing (Qigong and Reiki). He wears lava bracelets for protection and hematite for healing. He currently resides in Odessa, Florida in close proximity to his son and parents.
