Drew was raised in Fort Worth and Granbury Texas, but currently he lives in Arlington.
His injury was a result of Stage 4 Ewing's Sarcoma. He began showing symptoms such as neuropathy and numbness in his left leg. His original tumor started in his left pelvis and metastasized to both femurs, L5 and T5 spine, lungs, and ribs. He was diagnosed 3/22/18 making it 9 months since his symptoms started. Drew did chemotherapy and radiation from late March 2018 to mid December 2018.
He wants to gain strength in his left leg to walk with as little limping as possible. He has two big goals, his short term goal is to do a 10k race and his long term goal is to do a Spartan Para race. In his free time Drew enjoys playing golf, going to sporting events, and making people laugh.
