Ian Griffin

Ian was born in Plano, TX, and was an active and competitive individual growing up. He participated in football, wrestling, hunting, and fishing. Ian graduated high school in 2002 and attended Southwestern Oklahoma.

On November 5th, 2020, Ian was involved in a car accident in California that resulted in him breaking vertebrates in his neck when his head hit the windshield. In the hospital, Ian developed a level four bedsore which left him in the hospital for almost a year. On top of that, he was completely isolated from loved ones due to Covid protocols. This gave him a lot of time to reflect on life and come to understand the power of positive thinking.

In the hospital, Ian was told he would never walk again or even feed himself, but with lots of rehabbing and willpower, he has made huge strides and has recently been able to stand and take some steps on his own.

Ian is already making great progress towards his ultimate goal to no longer be dependent on a wheelchair and gain back as much function as possible in his hands and arms. His mindset has completely shifted post-accident and he is looking forward to continually practicing gratitude and learning to love himself. He hopes that his story can lead him to helping others in similar situations.
