Injury: Below Knee Amputee

Class 25 Jeremy Hillburn wide (1)

Texas has always been home to Jeremy. Growing up in Lubbock, he participated in sports such as golf, softball, baseball, and kayaking. After high school, he attended Texas Tech University and played baseball. He also played on a national traveling softball team.

While he was playing softball, a callus on his foot quickly escalated into a really severe infection. Doctors were forced to put him on heavy antibiotics for a span of five years, which had a major impact on his kidneys. In 2017, he was diagnosed with kidney failure. When his father passed suddenly in 2018, Jeremy was able to get his father's kidney which helped save his life. Shortly after that, Jeremy had to have his left leg amputated below the knee.

Jeremy is looking forward to his time at ATF for multiple reasons. Physically, he wants to increase his baseline stamina and gain strength in his core and legs. Beyond that, he is looking forward to gaining an understanding of the power of his mind.
