Kenneth Glasgow

Kenneth “KG” Glasgow grew up in Dallas, Texas, where he stayed active through swimming, football, and outdoor activities like frisbee. He carried that energy into adulthood, building a life centered on service, discipline, and staying engaged with his community. His drive to challenge himself was evident in experiences like participating in the Carry The Load East Coast Relay, where he walked nearly 200 miles over 25 days alongside fellow veterans.

KG served in the U.S. Air Force as part of a Crash Rescue and Recovery Team with the 301st Fighter Wing at Carswell Air Force Base. During his service, he supported civil engineering operations and participated in deployments across Europe. His military career reflected a commitment to teamwork, readiness, and supporting others - values that have continued to guide him long after his service ended.

On May 30, 2025, just days after completing the relay, KG suffered a near-fatal stroke at home that required an emergency craniotomy. What followed was an intensive recovery process, including time in the ICU, inpatient rehabilitation, and ongoing outpatient neuro-therapy focused on rebuilding strength, coordination, vision, and cognitive function. Despite the severity of the event, KG has remained motivated and grounded in his belief that he will continue to recover and improve.

Through the ReDefine program, KG is focused on restoring function - particularly improving his gait, rebuilding fine motor control in his left hand, and increasing his ability to focus. More than anything, he is driven to continue serving others, striving to be a strong role model and resource for fellow veterans navigating their own recovery journeys.
