Keyon Elmore

Keyon Elmore has always been drawn to sports, competition and staying active. Growing up in El Paso, Texas, he found an outlet in sports and games, developing the competitive mindset that would eventually carry into his military career. He served in the Army as an E-5 25P, working as a paratrooper, combatives instructor and radio team chief. In 2013, he deployed to Afghanistan with 5th Special Forces Group, supporting four Operational Detachment Alpha teams.

Keyon’s current physical challenges stem from a hazing incident that left him unconscious after being repeatedly struck in the chest, causing significant damage to his sternum and rib cage. The years since have involved an extensive recovery process, including physical therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, yoga, meditation, prayer and stretching. While those tools have helped, the long-term pain and herniated and bulging discs have continued to limit him physically and left him feeling like he has reached a plateau.

ReDefine represents an opportunity for Keyon to break through that plateau. His goal is simple: get back to where he once was. He wants to find pain relief, improve his mobility and develop the tools to quiet the doubt, pain and depression that can hold him back. More than anything, he wants to rediscover what he knows he is capable of and keep moving forward.
