Memphis Lafferty

Memphis grew up in the Dallas, Texas area. He developed a love for skateboarding at an early age, and his passion for that hobby has continued throughout his life. He also enjoyed fingerboarding, and has been a sponsored fingerboarder. As he grew older, he learned that he loved working out, and now goes to the gym every day. Memphis graduated from Markus High School in 2024.

When Memphis was six months old, he contracted bacterial meningitis. The disease was aggressive and resulted in below-knee, above-knee, below-elbow, and above-elbow amputations of his limbs. While he has faced challenges over the years as an amputee, Memphis has learned to adapt and overcome those obstacles to stay active in his life. He continues to skate and workout and was even invited to skate at The Berrics, a well-known private skatepark.

One of the goals Memphis has set for his time at ATF is to walk without crutches. In addition to becoming more physically fit, he also wants to make the most of his ReDefine experience and find the peace of mind he has been looking for in his life.
