Nate Harrison Headshot

Nate enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2002 and fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom from August 2003 until March 2006. When he got out of the Marine Corps he moved to Kansas City, MO to become a police officer.

After 8 years on the force, Nate was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident on the way home from riding with a friend on December 9th, 2015 where he bled out on the side of the road for six hours before anyone found him. This resulted in Nate losing his right leg above the knee along with leaving him completely blind.

Nate continues to overcome the seemingly impossible by not letting this slow him down or keep him from anything he sets his mind to. His classmates describe him as having a “calm grit” and athleticism. His goals for this class are to improve his physical and mental strength and to make new friends.
