Reese Ketler

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Reese grew up dominating hockey, lacrosse, and golf - addicted to speed, competition, and the locker-room brotherhood that came with it.

On December 19, 2019, a head-first crash into the boards during a hockey game fractured his C6–C7 vertebrae, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. Months of surgery and rehab forced him to rebuild his entire life from a wheelchair.

In 2021, wheelchair rugby handed him back the fire he thought he’d lost - the hits, the strategy, the team - all of it felt like home again.

Now in the Hyper program, Reese is soaking up elite training, surrounding himself with driven adaptive athletes, and sharpening the tools he’ll take to rugby, public speaking, content creation, and advocacy.
