PATHOLOGY: Trauma

Ryan Marshman

Ryan grew up moving frequently as a military brat, experiencing life in many different places. Growing up, he found passion in working out, gardening, mentoring people, and traveling. After his military service, he earned a Master of Education degree. Ryan’s commitment to physical fitness and personal growth has been a consistent thread throughout his life.

Ryan served in the Army from June 1994 to January 2017. Over the course of his career, he filled many roles that spanned from driver to company leadership. He deployed to Iraq twice during this time. Over the years, Ryan experienced multiple injuries and underwent many medical procedures, including surgeries on his stomach, hips, shoulder, elbow, and thumb. His recovery from all of the surgeries was a long and humbling journey. Despite the challenges, he maintained a resilient mindset, focusing on being “fixed” and moving forward.

While he is at ATF, Ryan wants to focus on regaining his strength and muscle mass to prove to himself what’s possible. His goals include becoming leaner and developing a more athletic build. Mentally, he wants to listen, to learn, and to share what he gains with others, continuing his passion for mentoring and personal growth.
