Meet Adaptive Athlete: Shannon Kerrick

Shannon Kerrick

DOB: 1983

PATHOLOGY: T6 Spinal Cord Injury & Traumatic Brain Injury

Shannon Kerrick

Shannon grew up in Sun Valley. She played soccer as a kid, but skiing was her true passion (followed by mountain biking). In early 2024, Shannon was skiing with her daughter and hit a roller, sending her flying through the air. The accident broke both of her shoulders, her neck, and her back, leaving her with a T6 spinal cord injury and a traumatic brain injury.

Shannon’s recovery process after her injury has been challenging. Her family had recently moved to a new area before the accident, so Shannon battled loneliness throughout recovery. She hopes ATF’s Hyper camp will help her gain the tools and knowledge she needs to find herself and redefine her life post-injury. Shannon wants to show her kids that when we push ourselves, there are no limits to what we can accomplish.
