Meet Adaptive Athlete: Tisha Knickerbocker

Tisha joined the Marine Corps straight out of high school and worked as an intelligence analyst, supporting her unit on at least three deployments. While traveling to another base, her military convoy was hit by a civilian vehicle, causing her to break her back and resulting in her traumatic brain injury.

 

As someone who loves to learn, Tisha is looking forward to the opportunity to find new ways to adapt. Not only is she excited to better herself, but she’s stoked to take what she’s learned back to other athletes that she works with.
